For a few brief seconds during the grading of the Week 11 football contest, Christi Villa of Friona and Tyson Neill of Canyon were winners. They each had 15 of 18 correct. Then along came the entry from Dewayne Williams of Lubbock also with 15 correct.

So for the first time in several weeks we had to use the tie-breaker to separate the three 15-game winners. The tie-breaker was total score in the Friona – Muleshoe game, which was 49 (Muleshoe 28 – Friona 21).

Williams tie-breaker guess was 45, Neill guessed 65 and Villa 66. The Week 11 $25 cash prize goes to Dewayne Williams.

Turning in entries with 14 correct were Michael Villa, Daniel Hernandez, Christen Griffin, and Velta Anderson. Eleven other contestants managed 13 correct. Total point leader Sandra Berend had 12 correct and maintains her lead going into the Week 12 Final Contest. Mal Manchee, who was tied with Sandra last week, dropped back two points with a 10-correct entry this week.

The Week 12 Final Contest has 21 games, 7 each high school, college, and pro. Should be an interesting finale to our annual contest. We appreciate all who have participated every week and the support of our contest sponsors who make the contest possible.
