Della Rose "Dean" Gonser Broyles

Funeral services for Della Rose “Dean” Gonser Broyles, 80, of Friona were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Friona with Reverend Rick Burton, Pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Friona Cemetery by Blackwell Funeral Home of Friona. She died Sunday morning, February 28, 2010 in Amarillo.

She was born October 16, 1929 in Laverne, Oklahoma to Leonard and Ruby Hanes Gonser. She married John Ralph Broyles July 14, 1948 in Amarillo. They farmed in Lazbuddie for several years, moving to Friona in February of 1966. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for their business, Friona Parts and Service, retiring in 1989.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph; two sons, Johnny Broyles and wife Robin of Amarillo, and Jimmy Broyles and wife Tonna of San Angelo; two daughters, Patcine Jenkins and husband Jesse of Groom, and Maxine Broyles and husband Randy Littig of San Angelo; one sister, Patti Hughes of Dimmitt; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Toby Gibson in 1993.

Edmundo Bermea

Edmundo Bermea, 72, passed away on February 26, 2010 in Casper, Wyoming at Poplar Living Center. Services were held Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic church. Rosary was at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday evening, in the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel.

Edmund was born October 4, 1937, in Salt Gap, Texas to Sostenes Morales and Rodolfo Bermea. Edmund was self-employed in the trucking business and was a devout Catholic.

He was preceded in death by his spouse of 43 years, Hortencia Maldonado Bermea, and one son, Guadalupe Bermea.

Survivors include four daughters, Theresa and husband Anthony Nauta of Harker Heights, Texas, Lesa Bermea, Rachel and husband Oney Avalos, and Erika and husband Andy Montana, all of Friona, Texas; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Other survivors include a wife, Annabell, from Casper, Wyoming; a son, Diego Rodriguez of Arizona; a brother, Jesus Bermea of Del Rio; and four sisters, Alice Gonzales of Menard, Amelia Rodriguez of Burley, Idaho, and Lydia Abilez and Adelaida Anguano both of Junction.
