Sandra Randall

Sandra Randall, 80 of Friona passed away October 7, 2022 in Amarillo. Celebration of Life Memorial Services have been scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the Union Congregational Church of Friona with Andy and Julia Alexander officiating. Cremation and arrangements by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Sandra was born May 10, 1942 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Carl Fleming and Edna Louise Rose Martin. She has had a lengthy life full of service to others including 25 years as a substitute teacher and aide for the Farwell ISD and Friona ISD, and as an employee of Parmer Medical Center.

She has been a member of the Texas Retired Teachers Association as well as a life member of the National Education Association and VFW, a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and a very active member of the Union Congregational Church of Friona.

She loved books including recipe books, reading, cooking, working in the garden and apples.

She is preceded in death by her parents-Carl and Edna Louise Martin.

Those to mourn her passing include her husband-John Randall of Friona, 2 daughters-Lucretia Hayes and Polly Rivera of Amarillo, 1 son-Richard Turner of Arlington, 1 brother- Carl R. Martin of Burton, Texas, 2 -step-daughters-Copper Lynn Brewster of Warren, Michigan, and Evie Leroy of Independence, Ohio, 1 step- son- Jason Randall of Largo, Florida, 2 granddaughters-Ashleign Brewer of Shallowater, Texas and Sophie Turner of Arlington, Texas, 1 grandson-Nathan Turner also of Arlington, Texas and 1 great-grandson-Cade Brewer of Shallowater, Texas.

Lewis Dee Gore

Lewis Dee Gore, 90, of Texarkana, Texas formerly of Friona passed away October 10, 2022. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at the Friona Methodist Church with Rev. David McGaughy, officiating. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Lewis was born in Friona on July 31, 1932 to Robert Newton (Newt) and Jessie Jewel Gore. He attended schools at Friona, Orange, and Alba, Texas and graduated from Friona High School in 1950. On June 11, 1955 he married Elizabeth Ann Cocanougher in Friona Methodist Church. Lewis worked as a rural route postal carrier from 1962 to 1995. Following his retirement, he enjoyed years of reading, travel, photography, and woodworking.

He is preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth, his parents, and a brother, Bob Gore.

Lewis is survived by his daughter Carolyn and husband Rick, son Larry and wife Georganna, son Bryan, and daughter Sonya; and his grandchildren, Mary, Jenni, Lewis Morton, and Jacob; and great-grandchildren, Kayleigh and Branson. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Jeane Gore and brother Jimmie Gore and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials to Friona Methodist Church or Bluebonnet Home Health and Hospice of Friona.
