Veterans Day Program - Everyone is invited to the FHS Veterans Day Program on Friday, November 11th. The event will start at 10:00 a.m. in the Friona High School Gym and will feature readings, veteran recognition, the FHS choir and band, and more. A reception will follow in the Hospitality Room at the high school and will be hosted by FCCLA members, Hospitality students, and Friends of the Library.

Teacher Group to Meet - Parmer County Retired Teachers and School Personnel will meet on Monday, November 7th at 12:00 noon, at the home of Kim Smiley, 2546 CR 27. Following a pile-on meal, Annette Frye will present a program about health and wellness.

School Meal Rescheduled - The Friona ISD Thanksgiving Meal has been moved to Friday, November 18th. The price will be $5.00 for everyone.

Prairie/Legacy News - Jimmy Maynard is the Prairie Acres Resident of the Month for November. The Employee of the Month for October is Nina Trevino who works in the nursing department and has been on staff since March of 2021.

Santa's for Seniors - If you would like to adopt a resident for Christmas, the list is ready at Prairie Acres. Please contact the Activity department @ 806-250-3922.

Talking Turkey, Part 2 - St. Ann's Catholic Church of Bovina is having their annual Turkey Dinner on Sunday, November 6, 2022 from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. (Texas time) in the St. Ann's Parish Hall on 3rd Street in Bovina, Texas. Donations will be $15 for adults and $6 for children under six years of age. Take-out plates will be available at no additional charge. A quilt made by St. Ann's Society will be raffled off at the dinner.

Caregiver Appreciation Reception - You are invited to a Hospice Caregiver Appreciation Reception from 2 p.m. till 4 p.m. on Friday, November 4th. The "come & go" event will be held at the Friona InterBank Community Room located at 1105 N. Cleveland. Please use the east door facing the parking lot.

November Vaccination Reminder - Parmer Medical Center will conduct COVID Vaccine Clinics on Thursday, November 3rd from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Friona at the 6th Street Church of Christ and on Friday, November 18th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Bovina at the XIT Recreation Center.

Trash Talk - The trash roll-off box at East 8th and South Jackson will be open this Saturday, November 5th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Help keep Friona clean!!!

It's a TREAT for the Squaws!!!

The Friona Squaws won a thrilling five game match against Idalou Tuesday night in Littlefield to advance to the Area Round of the volleyball playoffs. The Squaws will play the Alpine Lady Bucks at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 5th at Andrews High School in Andrews. Friona will be the away team. Go Squaws!!!

Friona celebrates Halloween

Over 400 attended the Trunk or Treat event including kids, parents, and Prairie Acres residents.
