Jonnie Morene Williams

Jonnie Morene Williams, 81, of Stephenville, formerly of Friona, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2022 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Nance officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2022 at the funeral home. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Resthaven Cemetery in Lubbock.

Jonnie was born on April 10, 1941 in Clovis, New Mexico to the late Johnny W. and Elthie M. Brannon Hand. She married the love of her life, Kirby D. Williams on December 27, 1960 in Friona, Texas and together they had two daughters. Kirby preceded Jonnie in death on November 18, 2014. Jonnie grew up in Friona and has also lived in Fort Worth and Aledo before moving to Stephenville. She earned an associate degree from Lubbock Christian University but her career was as a homemaker, wife and mother. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her daughters, Kelijon Nance and husband Jerry of Stephenville, and Heidi Hooten of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Karson Nance and fiancé Kylie Foster of San Marcos, Barrett, Brynleigh, Brylen Hooten all of Fort Worth; sister, Wessie Hand of Friona; nieces & nephews, Ashlee Gee Roberts, Dustee Gee, Natalee Harris, Emalee Roberts, Keeton Roberts; special cousin LeVada Hand Bush, and many cousins, nieces, nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Elthie Hand; husband, Kirby Williams; and an infant sister, Jennie Lee Hand.

Memorials may be made to the Lubbock Christian University.

Garry Wayne Beauchamp

Garry Wayne Beauchamp, age 75, originally of Bovina, Texas passed away peacefully on Sunday July 31, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Garry was born in Littlefield, Texas on October 9, 1946, to Janie and Thomas Beauchamp and spent his school years in Bovina, Texas. He graduated High School in 1966, entered the U.S. Navy in 1967, and served in the Vietnam War as a Navy Corpsman until he was injured in the line of duty. Garry was awarded a Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his service.

After spending time recovering from his injuries, Garry enrolled at West Texas A&M University where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and received his Master's Degree in Plant Science. It was while attending WTSU that he met the love of his life Carolyn Tung and they married on January 28, 1972. Garry chose to join his father and brother to pursue farming in Bovina where he and Carolyn raised their 3 children. In 1997 they moved to Clovis, New Mexico, and then moved to Lubbock, Texas in 2014. On May 1, 2022, Garry announced his retirement from crop adjusting and farming.

Garry's favorite pastime was spoiling his three grandchildren. He also enjoyed taking his family on trips, binge-watching the food network, finding new recipes, and using his family as taste testers. Garry spent his entire lifetime as an avid reader and was a passionate cook.

Garry is survived by his wife Carolyn Beauchamp of Lubbock and their three children Jennifer Beauchamp-Dillon, Richard Beauchamp and wife Melanie of Lubbock, Gina Beauchamp-Downing and husband Brad of Graham. His grandchildren Aidan Dillon, Audrey Beauchamp, and Emery Beauchamp. His brother Mike Beauchamp and wife Debra of Friona, sister Karen Kirkpatrick and husband Daryl of Lubbock, numerous nieces, nephews, and the beloved family dog, Holly.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers in Lubbock with a reception to follow.
