Christeene Mann

Christeene Mann, 91 of Friona passed away January 11, 2023 in Friona. Viewing was held from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM with family visitation from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, January 13, 2023 in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of HANSARD FAMILY. Celebration of Life Services were at 2:00 PM Saturday January 14, 2023 in the Union Congregational Church of Friona with Jeff Procter, officiating. Burial followed in the Friona Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Christeene was born July 9, 1931 in Mobeetie, Texas to Thomas Edward and Bertha Alice Dean Hurst. She later married Bobby Joe Mann February 7, 1948 in Clovis.

Christeene was a very hard worker as a rural route mail carrier, Stanley Products Representative, and longtime employee of Holly Sugar. She was a member of the VFW, Friona Fire Department and American Legion Women's Auxiliaries, and Federated Order of Eagles, a leader for both Friona Boy and Girl Scouts, and was past Membership Chairperson for the Friona Credit Union. She was a homemaker that loved to cook and sew.

Those preceding her in death include her parents Thomas and Bertha, 1 brother-Leo Hurst, and 1 sister-May Green.

Those to carry on her legacy include her husband Bobby Joe Mann of Friona, 1 son-Joe Bob Mann and wife Dale of Friona, 2 daughters-Carla Scott and husband Mike of Friona and Joy Bauer and husband Dwayne of Halltown, Missouri, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Wilda Yvonne Jones

Wilda Yvonne Jones, 84 of Friona passed away January 20, 2023 in Friona. Viewing was held Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM with family visitation beginning at 6:30 PM in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of HANSARD FAMILY. Celebration of Life Services were at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 25, 2023 also in the chapel. Burial followed in the Friona Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Yvonne was born November 15, 1938 in Meadow, Texas to Willard and Betty Beatrice Lewis Upton. She later married the love of her life Max Jones October 18, 1975 in Brownfield, Texas. Soon after, they moved to Friona and built a life and family together. For many years that life consisted of their business Robertson Electric in Friona where Yvonne was owner/secretary, helping raise children and a husband, and kept the family home filled with love. There were also times of play, including fishing trips where Yvonne had a very competitive spirit.

Yvonne is preceded in death by her parents, a son- Gary Jones, sister- Rita Isham, and brother-James Upton.

Those to mourn her passing include her husband Max of Friona, 4 daughters-Linda Thompson of Logan, New Mexico, Janet Jones of Lubbock, Lisa McLellan of Red River, New Mexico and Lydia Johnson of Guthrie, Oklahoma, 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, and nephew-Pat Upton of Friona.

Diane Lynn Jensen Mowery

Diane Lynn Jensen Mowery, 66 of Friona passed away January 21, 2023 in Friona. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Cremation and arrangements by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Diane was born October 24, 1956 to Lyndell and Mary Ellen Jensen in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She grew up in Wyoming and graduated from Medicine Bow High School in Medicine Bow, Wyoming. She graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in science education and taught high school science in schools in New Mexico, Wyoming, Oregon, and Texas.

She married Alan Mowery in January 1980 and they had six children. With the birth of her children, she became a stay at home mom and home schooled her children.

Diane enjoyed researching family history, pottery, attending the Amarillo Symphony with family, writing, jigsaw puzzles, visiting with family and friends, and a wide variety of other interests. She founded the local writers group Pens and Pages and participated in Panhandle Professional Writers Group. She was active in several home school groups and helped administer a couple of these groups. Diane was active in the churches the family attended over the years and assisted with Sunday School, youth, and vacation Bible school.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mary Lynn Jensen.

Those surviving her include her husband Alan, children: Aaron, Elizabeth McMullin (Asher), Sarah Martinez (Raul), Nathan (Chrystalynn), Joanna, and Ethan; nine grandchildren; brother Lee Jensen of Medicine Bow, Wyoming; sister Tanda Martin of Casper, Wyoming; three nieces, and eight nephews.
