About the Club

The Friona Noon Lions Club was formed in 1968 by 25 individuals who were interested in "giving back" to the community. Even though many were members of the Friona Evening Lions Club, this group wanted to meet during lunch to conduct the business of the club. Occupations of the membership included teachers, bankers, farmers, small business owners, and retirees.

Friona Noon Lions is a service club which supports and funds community activities. The club is a member of the 2-T1 District in Texas and the International Lions organization. Membership dues help support regional, national, and global activities including recycling eyeglass recycling and leader dog training to assist individuals with eyesight disabilities.
