Laura Lee Moyer Hart

Laura Lee Moyer was born July 13, 1937 to O.B. and Beulah Moyer in Hereford, Texas. She went to her heavenly home on May 13, 2023 at the age of 85. She had lived in Friona all of her life. Laura married Dale Amburn Hart on October 8, 1954, and they were happily married for 68 years.

Viewing was held from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, May 16, 2023 in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of HANSARD FAMILY. Celebration of Life Services were held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Friona. Burial followed in the Friona Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Laura was a member of First Baptist Church in Friona. She owned the Sears catalog store in Friona for 15 years, owned and operated H&R Block Income tax office with her husband for 53 years, carried mail on a rural route for 25 years, worked as a clerk in the Post Office for 2 years, worked for the Census department for 5 years, helped in their cattle business, and currently worked at the Friona Star each Wednesday and Thursday proofing and labeling the newspaper for 60 plus years!

Laura is preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter, Sarah Danelle Campbell and her grandson, Dustin Lee Campbell.

She is survived by the love of her life, Dale. Her children and their spouses Karene and Troy Bass of Canyon, Holly and Danny Campbell of Friona, Evelyn and Joe Romero of Amarillo, and Jeremy and Marla Hart of Friona. Grandchildren Melissa (Bass) Wright and husband Jason, Danny Wayne Bass and wife Chelsi, Dallas Bass and wife Allison, Stephen Campbell and wife Debra, Jonathan, Rachel and Noah Romero, Staci Hart and Jett Jerden. Great-grandchildren Ava Grace, Jaxon and Ella Kate Wright, Harper and Weston Bass, Calvin Bass and future Bass twins, Josh and Scott Campbell, Jaylin and Alayna Hart. Brother Larry Moyer and wife Virginia of Friona, sister Lois (Moyer) Eitel and husband Don of Tempe, Arizona. Also, several nieces and nephews.

Blanca Estella Guillen

Blanca Estella Guillen, 67 of Bovina passed away May 15, 2023 in Friona. Viewing will be from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM with Rosary Services at 6:00 PM Thursday, May 18, 2023 in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of HANSARD FAMILY with Mass of Christian Burial Services set for 10:00 AM Friday, May 19, 2023 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bovina with Father Gregory Bunyan as Celebrant. Burial following in the Bovina Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Blanca was born December 29, 1955 in Van Horn, Texas to Enrique and Marie Mendoza Guillen. Blanca was known to be a very happy person that loved to laugh and visit people. She enjoyed helping with all the children in the family, jewelry, tending to her lawn and watching scary movies.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters-Gloria Chavez and Esperanza Guillen, 1 niece-Norma Jean Chavez, and 1 nephew-Richard Guillen.

Those to mourn her passing include 3 brothers-Arturo Guillen and wife Alice of Morton, George Guillen and wife DeEtte of Friona, and Enrique Guillen III and wife Yesenia of Eunice, N.M., 3 sisters-Elida Villarreal and husband Richard, Hilda Guillen, all of Bovina and Rosa Rios and husband Ramon of Eunice, N.M., along with numerous nieces and nephews.
