Cassey Wade Perkins, II

A Mass of the Resurrection for Cassey Wade Perkins, II was held at 11:00 A.M., on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023, at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Friona, Texas. A Rosary was held at 10:30 A.M. with Father Arturo Mesa officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Daniel Perkins, Adam Perkins, B.J. Hudson, Eddieington Hudson, Richard Toscano, David Woody, Dave Williamson, Storm Randall, Alex Adams, Robert Felix, Ruben Sepulbeda, Nate Larson, and Hector Ortega.

Cassey Wade Perkins II was born on March 4th, 1983, in Friona, Texas to Leslie Wade Perkins and Becky Beatrice Gonzales Perkins. He overcame many hardships and enjoyed loving life to the fullest. He was an artistically talented and well accomplished musician. He loved to create music and write songs with his two brothers. He also enjoyed spending his free time at the gym working on his personal health and positive growth. He enjoyed his employment at the cheese plant where he worked close to all of his friends and family. He was fond of making others laugh with his loving sense of humor and had an out of this world personality. He was a kind and respectful person. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Cass Perkins was preceded in death by his father Leslie Perkins, and grandparents Cassey Wade, Marie Perkins, Pablo R. Gonzales, and Cruz P. Gonzales.

He is survived by his children Rosalyn and Pilate Perkins; his younger brothers Daniel Perkins and daughter Constantine, and Adam Perkins and wife Tiffany and daughters Peyton, Reagan, and Breeland; his uncle Paul "Lucky" Gonzales and wife Susan; his aunt Darla Bracken and husband Rex; his aunt Susie Hudson and husband Jack; his aunt Josie Bautista and husband Lupe; and his uncle Felix Perez and wife Socorro.

Teresa Ann Burkart

Teresa Ann Burkart, 62 of Friona passed away April 27, 2023 in Lubbock. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Teresa was born January 13, 1961 in Athens, Tennessee to Clifford Lee and Annie Laura McKelvey Nunley. She worked at several restaurants in years past, and at Cargill Meat Solutions for over 20 years. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, taking care of her cat Sam, and watching TV, especially the SYFY channel.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Annie, 1 son-Charlie Burkart, 1 brother-Tony Nunley.

Those to mourn her passing include 1 son-Dusty Stowers of Friona, granddaughter Makayla Day and husband DeShane of Amarillo, 2 other grandchildren Isabella and Lucas, and 2 great-grandchildren-Havyn and Carson.

Max Dewaine Wells

Max Dewaine Wells, 88 of Friona passed away April 26, 2023 in Amarillo. Viewing was held from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday, May 1, 2023 in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of HANSARD FAMILY with Celebration of Life Graveside Services scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 2, 2023 in the Friona Cemetery with Jeff Procter, officiating. Burial following by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Max was born September 24, 1934 in Hereford to Harland Clay and Jewell Lola Johnson Wells. He later married Jo Ann Godfrey April 24, 1965 in Dimmitt.

Max was a longtime area farmer that was very much about business and making sure his land was cared for first and best. His family would say that Max had a good and long memory, was a bit bossy, but still kept a sense of humor.

He is preceded in death by his parents- Harland and Jewell, his wife -Jo Ann Wells, and 1 brother-Harold Joe Wells.

Those remaining to mourn his passing include 2 brothers-Jim Roy Wells and wife Cherry, and Rex Wells and wife Sue, all of Friona, 1 sister-Janice Chesher of Hereford, and 1 sister-in-law- Joyce Wells of Friona.
