Michael Scott Sr.

Michael Scott Sr., 79 of Friona passed away January 5, 2024 in Amarillo. Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 20, 2024 in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel at the funeral home with Randa Reeves, officiating. Cremation arrangements by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Michael was born November 3, 1944 in Yuba City, California to Frank Cleveland and Constance June Elwell Scott. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Army and always felt it was an honor to serve his country. He later married Carla Mann August 9, 1994 in Bullhead City, AZ.

Michael worked for Cargill Meat Solutions for 55 plus years. He loved the outdoors whether it be in Taos, NM. or sitting on his home patio. He loved to gamble at casinos and watch the 49'ers play football.

Those to mourn his passing include his wife Carla of Friona, 2 sons-Mike Scott and wife Jodie of Hugoton, KS., Brian Scott of Greensboro, NC., granddaughter-Madelene Scott of Elon, NC., grandsons- Lovel and Patrick Scott, of Hugoton, KS., 1 sister-Ruth Foremen of Vacaville, CA., 1 niece-Pam Shonery and husband Mark of Vacaville, CA., nephews- Frank Scritchfield of Yuba City, CA., and Paul Scritchfield and wife Janet of Northbend, OR.

Kenneth Wilkerson

Kenneth Wilkerson 75 of Friona passed away January 6, 2024 in Friona. Viewing will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM with family visitation from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of HANSARD FAMILY with Celebration of Life Services set for 1:00 PM Friday, January 12, 2024 in the chapel with Jeff Procter, officiating. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Kenneth was born December 10, 1948 in Stevenson, Alabama to Alvin H. and Ela Mae Evans Wilkerson, although he would argue that he was Texan through and through. He was a longtime Parmer County farmer, doing what he did best. Farming was second in his heart, first being his children and family. Kenneth was an overcomer that loved to help others. His caring heart and big Texas laugh will be missed.

Preceding him in death include his parents, Alvin and Ela Wilkerson, 1 daughter-Sherri Collins, 1 son-Lonnie Wilkerson, 2 brothers-David and Rayford Wilkerson, and 2 sisters-Dorothy Benson, and Dora Geneva Bentley.

Those to mourn his passing include 3 daughters-Ella Craddock of Amarillo, Michelle Wilkerson of Lubbock, and Liberty Williams and husband Fredrick of Amarillo, and 1 sister- Alene Gamble of Friona, 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
