Daniel "Dan" Mayberry, 62 of Bovina passed away January 15, 2024 in Bovina. Church and family directed Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Cross Roads Community Church, 204 4th St. in Bovina with Rev. Larry Mitchell, officiating. Cremation arrangements by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.
Dan was born June 10, 1961 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to George Earl and Della Mae Steward Mayberry. He was certified and trained in many areas of Fire and Emergency Services working with the Bovina Volunteer Fire Department and EMT Services. He also was certified through the International Grains Program of Kansas State University and served as Location Manager of Heartland Co-op of Bovina and was an active member of the area HOG chapter. He loved to ride his Harley, helping his community and church, fishing, and of course, his family. Dan was a big guy with a big heart and will truly be missed.
Preceding him in death was his father- George Mayberry, and step-mother- Soni Koelling Mayberry.
Those to carry on his legacy include brothers- David Mayberry and wife Sheila of Texas, and Mark Mayberry of Colorado, sisters- LaVonne Mayberry and husband Rudy of Texas, Karen Reiners and husband Ron, and Eve'va Kolar and husband Mike, all of Colorado, Kathleen Castorena-Robinson and husband Rick of California, many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
