Bertha Alicia Adame

Bertha Alicia Adame, 53, of Friona, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, in Amarillo surrounded by her loving family. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Friona with Father Gregory Bunyan as Celebrant. Burial followed at Friona Cemetery under the direction of Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. A Family and Friend Visitation was held on Monday, April 1, 2024, from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home in Hereford and a Rosary Service began at 6:00 P.M.

Alicia was born on August 25, 1970, in San Francisco de las Nieves Zacatecas, Mexico to Efrain Rocha Mendez and Eustolia Lomas Gallardo. Alicia has been a resident of Friona for over 20 years and a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church. Alicia was devoted to her faith and family; family was her number one priority. She cherished the time spent with them and especially her granddaughter Sofia. Alica was an excellent cook and baker; she enjoyed being in the kitchen and sharing meals with family.

Alicia was a respected and admired woman who unselfishly served her family and others, was generous, straight forward, and honest.

Those left to cherish her memories are son Antonio Adame and his wife Hannah of Bushland, Texas; granddaughter Sofia Adilene Adame; Spouse Alberto Guzman, parents, Efrain Rocha Mendez and Eustolia Lomas Gallardo; siblings, Aviu Rocha and his wife Noelia of Friona, Texas, Maria Grajeda and her husband Antonio of Hereford, Texas, Procoro Rocha and his wife Rosario of Mexico, Patricia Ortiz of Friona, Texas, Jacqueline Morales and her husband Francisco of Minnesota, and Aneline Rocha of Mexico; and many loved nieces and nephews.

Alicia is preceded in death by her daughter Adilene Norbertha Adame, nephew Thomas Morales, grandparents Procorro Rocha, Maria del Refudio Mendez, Justino Lomas, and Jorge Gallardo.
