Bennie Shelby

Mr. Bennie Shelby, 83, went from labor to reward on Friday, October 4, 2013 at his home in Abilene, Tx surrounded by his loving family.

Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am, Friday October 11, 2013 at the New Light Baptist Church, 518 North 6th St. in Abilene and the wake will be on Thursday, October 10 at the church. Pastor Eddie Jordan will preside over the service and interment will be at the Garden of Memories in Abilene. Funeral arrangements by Gregory W. Spencer Funeral Directors in Ft. Worth, Tx.

Survivors include his loving wife, Beulah Shelby, wonderful children, Billy Ray Shelby and wife Brenda, Elbert Lee Shelby and wife Lupe, Gerald Dewayne Shelby and wife Teresa, Rodney Bruce Shelby and wife Teresa, Belinda Montgomery and husband David, Connie Bowens and husband Joe, David Shelby and wife Andrea, caring brothers, Freddie Shelby, Rosevelt Shelby and a loving sister, Ruthie Mae Shelby. He had sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
