Hazel Britt
Hazel Britt, 83, of Friona died Thursday January 30, 2014 in Amarillo. Celebration of Life Services have been scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday February 8, 2014 at Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home in Friona with Rev. Perry Hunsaker, Minister of Congregation Care at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Amarillo, officiating. Family visitation following at 1005 West 6th St. in Friona. Arrangements by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona.
Hazel was born July 15, 1930 in Joy, Texas to Elvis Valentine and Annie Laura Laughon Hargrove. She married Frank Eugene Britt June 11, 1953 in Clovis, New Mexico. She was a longtime caregiver and member of the United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother Lee Roy Hargrove.
She is survived by two daughters, Vicki Hacker and husband Mike of Amarillo and Missy Britt of Amarillo; and one grandchild Hayden Hacker of Amarillo.

Marie Venable
Marie Venable, 93, of Bovina died January 22, 2014 in Friona. Celebration of Life Services will be held 1:30 P.M. Saturday February 8, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Bovina. Disposition arrangements by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona.
Marie was born May 20, 1920 in Hereford, Texas to Joseph and Margaret Lyons Langer. She married Elton Radford Venable November 21, 1945 in Hereford. She was a member of the Bovina Chamber of Commerce and Bovina Sr. Citizens.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include one son, Radford Venable of Bovina, one daughter, Margaret Moore of Loogootee, Indiana, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
