The FHS Varsity Cheerleaders were all "Pinked Out" last Friday during the Friona/Dimmitt football game. They wanted to remind everyone that this Friday, October 16 is Pink Out Night at Chieftain Field and Saturday, October 17 is Pink Out at the Squaw volleyball game against Littlefield at the FHS gym. Come out and support the teams and the Parmer County Cancer Coalition. Town Talk II

We have received more than three inches of rain in October. A fellow told me Monday that the corn fields are still too soggy to harvest. Some areas have dried out enough to return to harvest. Looks like no rain in the forecast for now. (more...)

Trunk or Treat October 31

The Parmer County Sheriff’s Office and the Friona Chamber of Commerce are joining forces on Saturday, October 31 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. to host Trunk or Treat on Euclid Street between the Primary and Elementary Schools in Friona. (more...)

St. Ann's Turkey Dinner Nov. 1

St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bovina will host their annual Turkey Dinner, Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (CST) in the St. Ann’s Parish Hall at 401 3rd Street in Bovina. A quilt throw made by St. Ann’s Society will be raffled off at the dinner. (more...)
