June Jester Ellison

June Jester Ellison, 86, of Clovis, died December 16, 2016 in Lubbock. A Celebration of Life service will be held 10:00 A.M. MST, Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the West 21st Street Church of Christ in Clovis, N.M. with Larry Tittle, minister, officiating. Graveside service is scheduled for 2:30 P.M. CST in the Bovina Cemetery in Bovina, Texas by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home in Friona.
June was born June 2, 1930 in Mountain View, Oklahoma to Alfonzo Randolph and Winnie Bolin Jester. She married Howard Laverne Ellison December 19, 1948 in Bovina. The family farmed and ministered to people through the Church of Christ.
June was known as a selfless, humble person giving as a minister’s wife, mother and friend by way of many settings, but her heart was for God and working through the church to help others.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Dennis Ellison; two brothers, Jerry and Audrey Jester; and one daughter-in-law, Shirley Jean Ellison.
Survivors include one daughter, Shella Marie Early of Denton, Texas; one son, Mickey Don Ellison and wife Kimberly Ann of Belleville, Michigan; one sister, Jo Bunch of Clovis; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
