Randell James

Randell James, 62, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018 in Little Rock, Arkansas. A Graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Rose Hill Cemetery with his son Matthew James officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Randell was born on June 20, 1956 in Redmond, Oregon to Cecil James and AnnaLee (Webb) Englant. He graduated from Bovina High School in 1974. He married Renee (Taylor) James on March 14, 1980 in Clovis, New Mexico. He worked for the Texas Department of Transportation for many years until his retirement in 2008. Randell enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Cecil James and Floyd and Anna Lee Englant, his wife: Renee James, one brother: Calvin James, one sister: Dearbara Englant and his grandson: Jordan Levario.

He is survived by one daughter: Marsha Bruce of Clarendon, Texas,  three sons: Thomas Jarecki of San Marcos, Texas,  Matthew James and wife Crystal of Crosbyton, Texas and Jon James and wife Chantelle of Eagle River, Alaska, eight grandchildren: John Anthony Levario of Wichita, Kansas, Christopher Bruce and Kaylee Bruce of Clarendon, Texas,  Elizabeth James, Abigail James and Jeremiah James of Crosbyton, Texas, Braxton James and Maddux James of Eagle River, Alaska, seven brothers: Floyd Leon Englant ,Glenn James, Gary James, Tim James, Mike James, Mark Englant, Tony Englant, three sisters: Katy James, Cathy James and Mary Rose Paterson.

To honor Randell’s legacy, we would like to offer you the opportunity to help him continue to care for his family. Tony, his baby brother, lost everything in the “Camp Fire” wildfire that destroyed Paradise, CA.

Juan V. Rodriguez

Juan V. Rodriguez, 93 of Friona passed away November 16, 2018 in Friona. Rosary Services were scheduled Monday, November 19, 2018 at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in Friona with Mass of Christian Burial Services scheduled, Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in Friona with Father Nestor Lara as Celebrant. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Juan was born April 10, 1925 in Sinton, Texas to Felipe and Victoria Vasquez Rodriguez. He later married Maria Hernandez, March of 1953.

He was an area farmer for many years and then an employee of Cargill for 20 years. He was a wonderful mechanic that loved to travel and spend time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and 2 brothers.

Those left to carry on his legacy include: 1 daughter-Maria Nava and husband Jesus of Friona, 1 son-Mark Rodriguez and wife Christina of Amarillo, 6 grandchildren-Jesus Nava Jr and wife Crystal, Christy Vasquez, Jonathan Nava, Beth Nava, Brandon High and Maya Thompson, and 3 great-grandchildren-Jadavyon Nava, Destiny Nava and Nathan Nava.
