Lucila Andrade Trevino

Lucila Andrade Trevino, 58 from Friona passed away February 18, 2018 in Amarillo. Viewing and Celebration of Life Service has been scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Victory Family Worship Center in Friona with Pastor Robert Kerby and Pastor Daniel Hidalgo, officiating. Mass of Christian Burial Service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in Friona with Father Henry Wilson Echavarria Rodriguez as Celebrant. Following the Mass there will be internment at Friona Cemetery by The Hansard Family at Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona.

Lucila was born November 20, 1959 in Mexico to Alfredo and Lidia Estrada Andrade. She was a longtime CNA at Prairie Acres Nursing Home in Friona where she was a very hard worker and loved caring for the residents.

Lucila was always loving and caring to others, but especially to her family. Her life revolved around her family. She also loved to clean, dance and to dress nicely.

Continuing her legacy are 2 daughters- Cindy Moreno and husband Fernando, and Karina Martinez, all of Friona, her parents of Mexico, 5 brothers- Socorro Andrade and wife Ivonne of Green Valley, MO., Gumaro Andrade and wife Selina of Pueblo, CO., Alfredo Andrade and wife Devi of Westminster, CO., Rogelio Andrade and wife Arlene of Denver, CO., and Ever Andrade and wife Silvia of Friona, 3 sisters- Laura Venzor and husband Reyes, Manassas, VA., Hortencia Andrade de Montes and husband Jesus Manuel of Mexico and Claudia Venzor and husband Ismael of Shawnee Mission, KS., 5 grandchildren- Fernando Moreno Jr., Zaylee Dominguez, Aylen Moreno, Nehemiah Martinez and Josue Moreno. Maria Aurelia Robledo

Maria Aurelia Robledo, 82, of San Antonio, formerly of Bovina, passed away February 14, 2018 in San Antonio. Rosary Services have been set for 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bovina with Mass of Christian Burial Services scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church of Bovina with Father Henry Wilson Echavarria Rodriguez as Celebrant. Burial following in the Bovina Cemetery by the Hansard family at Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona.

Mrs. Robledo was born December 25, 1935 in San Juan, Texas to Nicolas and Manuela Villa Barboza. She married Javier Robledo February 17, 1957 in San Juan, Texas.

Her family described Maria as being a very strong, Godly woman. She was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church of Bovina. She loved quilting, taking care of her family, cooking for them and others.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son-Eleazar Robledo, 1 daughter-Martha Fabela, and 3 grandchildren-Jude Javier Robledo, D.J. Robledo and Emmanuel Robledo.

Continuing the legacy are 5 sons-Roel Robledo and wife Yolanda of Bovina, Rolando Robledo and Hector Robledo, both of San Antonio, Roberto Robledo and wife Nellie of Amarillo, Victor Robledo of Colfax, Iowa, 1 daughter-Gracie Murillo and husband Martin of San Antonio, 1 sister-San Juanita Rodriguez of Wilmar, MN, 23 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

Maria Mendoza Guillen

Maria Mendoza Guillen, 96, longtime Bovina resident, passed away Sunday February 18, 2018 in Bovina. Rosary Services have been scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bovina with Mass of Christian Burial Services set for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bovina with Father Henry Wilson Echavarria Rodriguez as Celebrant. Burial following in the Bovina Cemetery by the Hansard family at Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona.

Maria was born July 21, 1921 in Candelaria, Texas to Valentine and Trinidad Estrada Mendoza. She married Enrique Guillen May 27, 1939 in Bahmorhea, Texas. The family has lived in Bovina for 38 years.

She was a homemaker and a longtime active member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. She was a person of great faith and had a servant’s heart. She cherished her family and friends.

Preceding her in death is her parents, her husband, 1 daughter-Gloria Guillen Chavez, 1 granddaughter-Norma Chavez Seda, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

To carry on her legacy are 5 daughters-Esperanza Guillen, Blanca Guillen, Elida Villarreal and husband Richard of Bovina, Trinidad Sanchez and husband Ramon Sanchez of Wolfforth, and Rosa Rios and husband Ramon of Eunice, NM, 3 sons- Arturo Guillen and wife Alicia of Morton, Texas, George Guillen and wife DeEtte of Friona, and Henry Guillen and wife Yesenia of Eunice, NM, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
