Ogallala Quilt Festival will be on April 5th -6th at Dimmitt, Tx. High School Activity Center. Admission will be $5.00, and it will cover both days and all locations. Steer Tags for 2019 are due to your Ag Agent or FFA teacher no later than April 15, 2019. The price per tag is $17.00 each. If you are new to our county or your child will be in the third grade, they can show animals for 4-H or FFA.

The Friends of the Library Book Shoppe is located at 119 West 6th Street in Friona. Good quality used books are offered for one dollar a bag. The shop is open Wednesday afternoons from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m., October through May. Summer hours are Thursday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, June through September. All proceeds benefit Friends of the Library projects such as free ESL classes, summer reading programs, veterans’ breakfast, scholarships and more.

Senior Steak Dinner tickets are now available from any senior. The proceeds will fund the Alcohol/Drug Free Graduation Celebration. The event will be on Sunday, April 14 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. –at the Junior High Cafeteria. The cost of the tickets will be $15.00 in advance, and $16.00 at the door.
