Vicente Loe Jr.

Vicente Loe Jr. 83 of Bovina passed away November 1, 2020 in Friona. Viewing was held from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. and Rosary Services were held at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of HANSARD FAMILY funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial Services were held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bovina with Father Arturo Meza, as Celebrant. Burial following in the Bovina Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Vicente was born June 18, 1937 in Roscoe, Texas to Vicente Loe Sr. and Teofila Cardoza Loe. Later he married Cristina Castro September 12, 1997.

He was a longtime employee of Amarillo Road Construction, working with them over 53 years. He loved his family and his dog Chito. He was a faithful member of the Cathoic Church and never met a stranger. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, loved to dance and buy lottery tickets.

Preceding him in death are his parents, twin brother- Marcos Loe, 3 sisters-Maria Rodriguez, Trinidad Arenas and Victoria Bryand, and 1 grandaughter-Sasha Loe.

Those to carry on his legacy include his wife Cristina of Bovina, 1 son- Vicente Loe III, 6 daughters- Annabel Loe Vidaurri and husband Juan Carlos of Bovina, Imelda Castro and husband Josue of Bovina, Sylvia Loe Ortega and husband Virginio of Plainview, Sara Loe VonReaden and husband Steve of Dallas, Diana Loe Johnson and husband David of Amarillo, and Dilia Loe and partner Sue Steiner of Chico California, 4 brothers-Francisco Castro of Amarillo, Cruz Loe of Odessa, Miguel Loe of Odessa, and Gregorio Loe of Amarillo, 2 sisters-Concepcion Arellano of Odessa and Felipa Fernandez of Odessa, 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

James Ray Stevick

James Ray Stevick, 64, of Friona passed from this life to the next on Monday, October 26, 2020. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

James was born on February 7, 1956 to Glen and Ruth McElroy Stevick. He lived in Parmer County his whole life and graduated from Friona High School.

James was a good friend and everyone that knew him, liked him. He loved music, and his favorite band was Pink Floyd. He enjoyed science, model airplanes, owned a hang glider, and was known to take apart anything, whether he could put it back together or not. Over the years, James held many jobs because of his incredible skill as a welder, most notably he worked with his brother Ronnie at Stevick Ditching.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ronnie Stevick, a sister, Sally Stevick, and his infant sons, James Ray Stevick, Jr., and James Dylan Stevick.

James is survived by his daughter, Kyndness D’Nae Garza, his son, James Derek Murphree, his sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Jerry LaFrance, his sister, Karen King, five grandchildren, Jacob, Abby, Hannah, Emily, and Isabel, his nieces and nephews, and a dear friend, Carla Murphey.
