Faith "Faithy" Carr

Faith "Faithy" Carr, 57, of Lubbock, suddenly passed away on Sunday morning, December 17, 2023. Faith was born on July 26, 1966, in Friona, Parmer County, Texas, to Karen Kay (Stephens) Wright and the late Jarrell Anthony Wright.

She attended Friona High School and graduated with the senior class of 1984. She later attended and graduated from the International Business College in Lubbock.

Faith met Jerry Carr, and they were united in marriage on February 14, 2004, at the Lubbock Country Club, and have made their home in Lubbock since that time.

Faith worked for the City of Lubbock for 10 years. She had previously worked for Terminix Pest Control, Maeker's Shoe Store, First United Bank and the Friona State Bank. For the last two years, she was employed by Scott's Complete Car Care in Lubbock. She was a true family person and loved to spoil her grandbaby's. Faith was a faithful Texas Tech sports enthusiast, enjoying all Tech sports. She was a member of Lubbock Baptist Temple.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her husband, Jerry; three sons: Justin Carr and his significant other Sarah Odegaard of Portales, NM, Jaspen Carr and his fiancé Abby Densow of Oklahoma City, OK, and Jason Carr of Oklahoma City, OK; three daughters: D'Lyn Massey and husband Hugh of Abernathy, Jordan Ovalle and husband Josh of Dallas, and Jaden Alfaro and husband Ruben of Lubbock; her mother, Karen Wright of Friona; one brother, Jason Wright and his wife Melissa and family of Canyon; one sister, Dianna Wright of Friona; ten grandchildren and one on the way, as well as one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her father, Jarrell Anthony Wright, on June 11, 2010.

Celebration of Life Memorial Services were held at 2 PM on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at the Lubbock Baptist Temple, 3215 60th Street, in Lubbock. Pastor Wes Bygel was the officiant. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations in Faith's memory to Lubbock Baptist Temple, 3215 60th Street, Lubbock, TX 79413.

Martha De Lois (Woolever) Schueler

Martha De Lois (Woolever) Schueler, 90, of Allen, Texas was called to her eternal rest on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.

A memorial service will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, Lariat, Texas at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 13. Burial will be held at 3:00 pm at Rhea Cemetery in the Rhea Community.

Martha was born in Lubbock County near Idalou, Texas on October 12, 1933 to Edgar Orville and Grace Truman (Mitchell) Woolever. After graduating from Clovis High School, she married Walter W. Schueler at First Methodist Church in Clovis, New Mexico on February 25, 1951.

Martha and Walter made their home in the Rhea community where Martha worked in the home and the fields where they farmed until his retirement. They raised three children on that farm: Wayne, Vickie (Kube), and Gary Schueler. She started the hobby of candy making and became known as "The Candy Lady." She also gave numerous demonstrations and workshops on candy making. When Walter began crafting toys out of wood, Martha shared his hobby by painting the many trucks, tractors and cars that he made.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, E. O. and Grace T. Woolever, her husband Walter, grandson Christopher Schueler, and granddaughter Sarah Schueler. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Rev. Wayne and Ann Schueler of Richmond, Texas, Vickie and Wayne Kube of Lucas, Texas and Gary and Mary Schueler of Waxahachie, Texas. Also 7 grandchildren: Matthew Schueler of Richmond, Joanna and husband Gibson Baafour of Richmond, Angela Daigle of Melissa, Texas, Lee and Jessie Kube of Melissa, Texas, Jared Schueler and fiancé Dr. Sara Rundgren of Chicago, Jeremy Schueler and Zachary Schueler of Waxahachie, Texas and 2 great-granddaughters: Ava Daigle of Melissa, Texas and Camryn Kube of Melissa, Texas, her sister Claudine and husband Dewain Parrish of North Port, Florida, and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

We want to thank the staff of Alexis Estates Gracious Retirement Living of Allen, Texas, caregivers from Senior Shield and Precise Personalized Hospice Care for their compassionate, loving care given to Martha.

Santos "Poppy" Rando, Jr.

Santos "Poppy" Rando, Jr., 83, of Friona, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 30, 2023. A family directed Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Templo Bautista Damasco Church 403 Woodland Ave. in Friona. Arrangements by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

He was born December 18, 1940, to Santos and Mary (Jimenez) Rando in Slaton, Texas . He was the third son of eighteen siblings, eventually settling roots in Friona, Texas. Where he met his wife, Lola Rando, whom he later married, a union lasting 57 years. They have three children Santos, Ricky, and Sammy plus Jodi his daughter in love, 2 beautiful grandchildren, Nathan & wife Ulaynie, Sarah & husband Austin. Santos is remembered for His Love of the Lord and his passion for serving others while demonstrating Christ's Love and Mercy. As a pilot for 68 years, he was passionate about exploring God's beautiful creation in travel and flight. He was fearless, eager to be the first to set the pace for others in his life. He had a zeal for exploration and risk-taking. He also loved to travel and create wonderful memories with his family. He started his own business with a legacy of 50 Years. "Poppy" will undoubtedly continue to be loved and cherished through memories and moments he experienced with the ones who knew him well and strangers alike.

Those left to treasure his memories are his wife Lola, children- Santos III of Friona, Ricky of Friona, Sammy & wife Jodi of Lubbock, grandchildren- Nathan & wife Ulaynie of Alaska, Sarah & husband Austin of Lubbock. brothers and sisters: Lupe, Lenora, Virginia, Joe, Maria, Lisa, Jesse, Johnny, Jacky, Betty, and Delton.
