Spring begins Wednesday March 20. Guess we may be done with snow for a while. The ants have opened up the big ant hill near the alley behind the Star office. That ant hill has been there for all of the 17 years I have been here at the Star. If they are out and about it is a sure sign of spring.

The burn ban in the county remains lifted until at least the March 25 meeting of the county commissioners. They will decide then whether to extend it longer.
