The Muleshoe Spring Bling, with over 40 vendors, is Saturday May 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Bailey County Coliseum. Free admission. There is also a 5K walk/run at 9:00 a.m. (more...)

Baseball playoff games

The Chieftains lost a district seeding game last Friday vs. Littlefield. The game was played at Muleshoe and the Chiefs lost 12-4. The loss put the Chieftains in third place in district with Shallowater first and Littlefield second. (more...)

Area students complete TCFA Feedyard Technician Program

Texas Cattle Feeders Association, in collaboration with West Texas A&M University and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, presented 30 area high school students a certificate and vest for completing the Cattle Care & Handling portion of the Feedyard Technician Certification Program April 26-27 at West Texas A&M University’s Stanley Schaeffer Agriculture Education Learning Lab.

Students from Friona who graduated from the program were Edwin Garcia, Carlos Prieto, and Luis Trejo. (more...)
