Congressman Jodey Arrington will hold a town hall meeting on Tuesday, August 6th in the Friona Senior Citizen Center at 1410 Washington Ave. in Friona, Texas. The event will start at 10:00 a.m. and be sure to check in at the table when you arrive.

Last chance!!! The Friona Public Library is currently accepting applications for their Library Director. Those interested in applying for the Friona Public Library Director job must complete an employee application, provide a cover letter and resume before the July 26, 2019 deadline. If you are interested in a booth at the Castro County Fair/Harvest Days on Saturday, September 7th, 2019 in Dimmitt, TX please contact Cathy at 806-869- 7550 or Maegan at 806-647-2524. It’s always first come, first served, and booths inside the Expo go fast. Booths range from $35 to $45 depending on where they are, and if you need electricity.

Bluebonnet Home Health & Hospice and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service are hosting a seminar Friday, August 2nd from 10:00 a.m. until Noon at Friona Heritage Estates. The event is entitled Dementia? Delirium? Depression? What’s Really Going On? and will be conducted by Andrew Crocker, M.S., a popular conference speaker. The purpose of the seminar is to support the County Extension Agents for Family and Community Health in their efforts to educate older adults, caregivers, and the professionals who serve them.
