Cheerleaders selling luminaries for Pink Out football game

The Friona high school varsity cheerleaders and their sponsor Brandi Surman are now taking orders for luminaries to honor the memory of a friend or loved one who has battled cancer. The luminaries will be displayed at the Pink Out football game October 12 vs. Muleshoe.

For a donation of $1 the cheerleaders will light luminaries in honor, memory, or prayer of your friend or family member at the 2:35 p.m. pep rally and again at 7:30 p.m. at the football game. The luminaries will be placed around the track and be displayed throughout the night lighting the way towards a cure for cancer. Half of the profits will be donated to the Parmer County Cancer coalition to raise awareness of breast cancer and cancer in general.

Luminary orders will be accepted through October 11. Contact Brandi Surman or one of the FHS varsity cheerleaders to purchase a luminary. If you have any questions or concerns contact Brandi Surman at 806-236-0338.
