Parmer County election results

Here are a few election totals from last week. Parmer County Clerk Colleen Stover said a total of 2,553 ballots were counted. That is more than 50% of the county’s registered voters, a huge percentage compared to past elections.

Voting straight party were 1,126 Republican and 334 Democrat. In the presidential race 2,005 cast ballots for Romney/Ryan and 528 voted Obama/Biden.

For United States Senate, Ted Cruz received 1,964 votes and Paul Sadler 498. In US Representative District 19 Randy Neugebauer received 2,090 votes and Libertarian candidate Chip Peterson garnered 225 votes.

In the Water District Precinct 3 election Mike Beauchamp received 1,256 votes and Carroll Cook 710. All other county races were unopposed.
