Town Talk II

Congratulations to the Chieftain baseball team on reaching the area round of the playoffs. The Chiefs beat Childress two out of three to claim the bi-district Golden Glove for the school trophy case. Chieftain senior Dallin Woods signed Tuesday to play baseball at Eastern New Mexico University.

A couple of anniversaries. Richie and Blaire Herring celebrated 13 years. Kim and Mitchell Smiley marked their 35th anniversary. Mitchell said it was 35 years of dreaded bliss but I’m sure he was only kidding and Kim has probably heard that before. Congratulations to you all.

The Parmer County burn ban has been lifted until further notice. (more...)
