Cheeseburger Festival deadlines approaching
Do you love to grill? Do you have a unique cheeseburger recipe? If so, the Texas Cheeseburger Cook-off should be your stage to debut your culinary expertise. The Friona Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture will be hosting the 11th Annual Cheeseburger Festival on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Friona City Park.
Space is limited to the first 20 teams and the deadline is Friday, July 8 to sign up. Entry fee is $100 per team which includes meat, cheese, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, buns and ice.
The day will start at 7 a.m. with set up followed by an orientation outlining the rules and food safety presentation at 8 a.m.
Judging will begin at 11 a.m. and sale of burgers will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
First prize of $1,000 and $300 for second prize will be awarded along with the People’s Choice Award and Cutest Campsite.

Vendor deadline is Friday, July 8 at 3 p.m. Booths are available in two sizes: 10X10-$30 or 10X20-$60. No meat vendors however all other food vendors are welcome. This is a family event so vendors are asked to keep it G-rated. Forms are available on the Chamber website or at the office.
