I owe Clarence Monroe and Joe Bob Mann apologies this week. I dropped an ‘o’ out of his name last week in the caption under the photo. Clarence, I apologize for misspelling Monroe.

I renamed Joe Bob and gave him the name Jim Bob last week. Joe Bob I apologize for renaming you.

I had a phone call this week that stated I had inadvertently relocated the new Friona City Manager Leander Davila. In the front-page article about the City Council meeting I stated that he was from Houston. I was corrected that he was from Austin. He will be relocating (the hard way) soon enough but I just moved him from one big city to another one with the stroke of a few keys. Leander, you have already moved twice and you aren’t even in Friona yet.

The Friona Star Football Contest lost one of their longtime players last week with the death of Isabel Rios. She and her family have played the contest for a number of years and she was pretty competitive. We were very sorry to hear about the Rios family loss and our sympathies go out them. Isabel will be missed.
