Dorothy Pauline Wiley

Dorothy Pauline Wiley, 79, of Shallowater passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018. She was born March 23, 1939 in Graham, Texas to Bob Roy and Eva Averett.

Pauline graduated from Friona High School in 1957. She married James Wiley April 8, 1960 in Amarillo. The couple moved to Shallowater in 1976. Pauline had a servants heart, and was empathetic, which made her a great nurse. She had a wonderful sense of humor, and was easy going. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Her loving and gentle spirit was felt by all. Pauline was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shallowater.

Pauline is survived by her husband of 58 years, James M. Wiley of Shallowater; three daughters, Vickie Pierce of Shallowater, Linda Fairbairn of Ft Wort, TX and Sherry Giegling of Dacula, GA; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a twin brother, Paul Averett of Amarillo, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a sister.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Shallowater 1st Baptist Church with Gary Koerner officiating. Interment will follow in Friona Cemetery. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.

Donald Wayne Wilson

Donald Wayne Wilson, 73 of Amarillo, formerly of Friona passed away Friday, September 14, 2018 in Amarillo. No Services are scheduled and inurnment will be at a later date. Cremation arrangements by Hansard Family Funeral Home of Friona.

Mr. Wilson was born June 4, 1945 in Clovis, New Mexico to Elmer Roy and Gladys Virginia Haws Wilson.

Donald was in the US Navy from 1962 to 1968 and the US Marines from 1974 to 1976 where he was a Lance Corporal Military Police Officer. He later served as a Police Officer for the cities of Seagraves and Fritch and was a security guard.

He enjoyed reading and was a certified scuba diver.

Those to carry on his legacy include his sister-Lynn Nelson of Friona, niece- Kristin Bailey and husband Cody and their children Kendyll and Camryn of Cedar Park, Texas.

Herbert L. Schueler

Herbert L. Schueler, 85, of Rhea, TX passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, in Friona. Family and friends visitation will be held Wednesday September 19, 2018 from 5:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home in Friona with Celebration of Life Graveside Services scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Rhea Cemetery. Burial following by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona

Herbert was born January 22, 1933 in the Rhea Community to Herman and Emma Gallmeier Schueler. He served his country in the Army of the United States from November 1953 to September 1955 having served in Korea. He married Cecelia Stehr at the Lutheran Church in Hereford, TX on July 25, 1958. Herbert and Cecelia made their home in the Rhea Community where Herbert farmed until his retirement. In retirement, he enjoyed his front porch viewing the country landscape of Rhea.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Lillian Schueler, Dorothy Bauer, and Velma Schlenker, and two brothers, Gilbert Schueler and Walter Schueler.

Those to continue his legacy include: his wife, Cecelia Schueler of Rhea, 5 children: Glen Schueler of Rhea, Mike Schueler and wife Amy of Hereford, Carrie Landrum and husband Jeff of Glen Rose, Jo Osborn and husband Robert of Friona, and Jeff Schueler and wife Heather of Abernathy, 11 grandchildren,5 great grandchildren and a sister- in -law Martha Schueler of Allen.
