Peggy London

Peggy London, 81 of Friona passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018 in Friona. Viewing was held 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Hansard Family Funeral Home in Friona with Celebration of Life Graveside Services set for 10:30 A.M. Monday, September 24, 2018 at the Friona Cemetery in Friona with Rev. Brett Hoyle, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Friona, officiating. Burial followed in the Friona Cemetery by Hansard Family Funeral Home.

Peggy was born November 28, 1936 in Olney, Texas to Glendon Robert and Emogene Short Gay. She later married Richard Leon London January 1, 1955 in Clovis.

Peggy was known as a thoughtful and caring person. She adored her family and was instrumental in raising four grandsons. She loved to greet people as they came to Prairie Acres Nursing Home where she resided for the last several years of her life. When she was not visiting with residents and guests, she loved to sew, crochet and color in her coloring books for adults.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 sister-Virginia Dunsworth and 1 brother-Bob Gay.

Those to carry on her legacy include: 2 sons-Ricky London and friend Carolyn of Stephenville, Glen London and wife Rena of Friona, 2 daughters-Paula Clark and husband Henry of Friona, Pam London of Amarillo, 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
