Janelle Duffey joins AgriLife Extension as agent for Parmer County

Janelle Duffey has joined the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service as an agriculture and natural resources agent for Parmer County. She previously served as a 4-H and agriculture agent for the New Mexico State University Extension system.

“AgriLife Extension is excited with the hiring of Janelle Duffy as the county Extension agent in Parmer County,” said Michael Clawson, AgriLife Extension district administrator, Lubbock. “Her knowledge and background in Extension in New Mexico brings a tremendous amount of experience to this role. We welcome her to Texas and know she will be a great asset to Parmer County and to AgriLife Extension on the South Plains.”

Duffey received several awards for her work as an extension agent in New Mexico, including the 4-H Youth Development Professional Achievement Platinum Level award.

“I am excited about my new adventure with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, and I am looking forward to working with the people of Parmer County,” said Duffey. “I believe my experiences with NMSU Extension will serve me well in my new role, and I am looking forward to great things happening.”

Duffey earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in animal science from New Mexico State University, Las Cruces. In addition to her extensive extension experience, Duffey has worked as a veterinary lab manager and milk quality technician.
