Bobby Gene Rodgers

Bobby Gene Rodgers, 79 of Amarillo, formerly of Friona passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 in Amarillo. Celebration of Life Memorial Services have been scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the Friona Cemetery Memorial Chapel in Friona with Pastor Glen A. Stocker of Bible Believers Baptist Church of Amarillo, officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Friona Cemetery by Hansard Family Funeral Home of Friona.

Bobby was born July 30, 1939 in Vernon to Charley Jay and Ollie Bea Petty Rodgers. He later married Opal Virginia McDowell January 27, 1981 in Plains, Texas.

He is a former employee of Four Way Pump of Friona. He loved his family and spending time with them, was an avid fisherman that enjoyed BBQ on the grill and watching the Dallas Cowboys.

Preceding him in death are his parents, 1 brother-Clifton Rodgers and 1 daughter-Rhonda Morton.

Those to carry on his legacy include his wife Opal of Amarillo, 2 step-daughters- Ophia Hamilton and husband Ray of Amarillo, and Brenda Joyce Lee and husband Donny of Madison Lake, MN., 1 step-son-Steve Stewart of Amarillo, 2 sisters-Joyce Dickson and husband Randy of Rockdale, Sue Rodgers-Isberg of Greeley, CO, 2 brothers- Darvis Rodgers and wife Billie of Mesa, AZ., and Gary Rodgers and wife Elaine of Ft. Worth, grandchildren-Destony, Kristen, Brice, Rebecca, Sherri, Johnathan, Brandy, Chris, Shaun, Aaron, Brittany, Kenney, Casey and Taylor, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Shae Dodson

Shae Dodson, 57 of Hays Kansas passed away October 24, 2018. Memorial services were held at Celebration Community Church, Hays Kansas with pastor Brant Rice officiating. She is preceded in death by granddaughter Harper Rae. Survivors are daughter Emori Dodson and grandson Rami Dodson of Kansas, Connie and Keta Dodson of Friona, Texas and sisters Sheri, Stacie and Sunny all of Texas.
