Lights! Camera! Action! News Channel 10 crew visits Friona

NewsChannel10 made the final stop on its Summer Celebration Tour 2018 in Friona on Friday night. “The most watched news in the panhandle” was broadcast live from the city park at 5:00, 6:00, and 10:00 p.m. “On-air” personalities included news anchors Walt Howard & Madison Alewel, chief meteorologist “Doppler” Dave Oliver, sports reporters Kayla Pace & Ralph Cooper, and news reporter Nyzah McDonald. Pre-taped and live interviews with local business owners were also featured during the newscasts. Mayor pro-tem Greg Lewellen presented NewsChannel10 with a key to the city. (more...)

Tourney benefits local cancer coalitions

It was a record year for the Pudge Kendrick Memorial Golf Tournament. Over $54,000 was raised and the proceeds will go to the Parmer County Cancer Coalition and the Hereford Cancer Coalition. Both organizations provide grants to local cancer patients. This year marked the 10th Anniversary of the golf event and the 4th year it has been held in Hereford. (more...)
