Cliserio Medrano

Cliserio Medrano, 84 of Bovina passed away February 20, 2019 in Bovina. Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held 7:00 P.M. Friday, February 22, 2019 at the Iglesia de Dios Palabra de Vida Church in Bovina with Pastor David Rocha officiating. Cremation and Arrangements are by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Mr. Medrano was born September 20, 1934 in Mexico to Guillermo and Cleofas Garcia Medrano. He was a farm laborer and loved his family, dancing and singing.

He is preceded in death by his parents and by two children-Maria Alicia Medrano and Clicerio Medrano Jr.

Survivors include his wife Josefina Garcia de’Medrano of Mexico, his children- Bartolome Miguel Medrano and wife Senaida of Hereford, Celso Medrano and wife Sylvia of Dimmitt, Eulalia Robledo and husband Jose of Mexico, Juan Medrano and wife Julia of Dimmitt, Gregorio Medrano and wife Lucila, Alberto Medrano and wife Liliana, Jose Medrano and Juanita Medrano, all of Mexico.

Guadalupe Silguero Guerra

Guadalupe Silguero Guerra, 91 of Friona passed away February 19, 2019 in Friona. Rosary Services were scheduled for 6:30 P.M. Thursday, February 21, 2019 in the Ron Smiley Memorial Chapel of HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 22, 2019 at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in Friona with Father Gregory Bunyan as Celebrant. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona.

Guadalupe was born February 14, 1928 in Stuart Place, Texas to Lupe and San Juana Silguero Guerra. She had been a Friona resident since 1962.

She worked for many years in the linen department of the Friona hospital. She was extremely talented in craft work, sewing, quilting, gardening and dancing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 sons-Sam Solis, Gilbert Leal and Luis Leal, 1 grandson-Levon Leal, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Those to carry on her legacy include 2 daughters-Mary Pesqueda and husband Ruben of Joshua, Texas, and Juanita Campos and husband Antonio of Abilene, 2 sons-Joe Moet of Orlando, Florida, and Johnny Alvarez of Friona, 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
