If you have family or friends buried in the Friona Cemetery come join the cemetery board on Thursday May 16 at 5 p.m. for the annual clean-up day. All volunteers will be appreciated.
Each year the cemetery board makes a special effort to get the cemetery ready for Memorial Day visitors. All old and faded flowers will be picked up and destroyed. Plastic bags will be available and the city will furnish extra trash bags.
If you have flowers or other items at the cemetery that you treasure you should go get them before the clean-up day then bring them back afterwards to make sure they are not thrown away. Soft drinks, water, and snacks will be furnished in the Memorial Chapel for all workers. See you May 16 at 5 p.m.
