Levon Renner

Lavon Renner, 89, of Friona died October 28, 2014 in Friona. Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 1 at the 6th St. Church of Christ of Friona with Jeff Procter, minister, officiating. Arrangements by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona.

Mrs. Renner was born August 16, 1925 in Leon Junction, Texas to Aubrey and Hester Wiggins Baize. She married John Renner May 15, 1944 in Clovis, NM. She has been a Parmer County resident since 1945 where she was a founding member of the Hub Ladies Association and a member of the 6th St. Church of Christ. She loved her family and loved to garden.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Ted Renner, and three brothers, Harold, Horace, and Duane Baize.

Survivors include her husband John Renner of Friona; one son, Gary Renner and wife Karen of Friona; one daughter, Missy Barker and husband John of Sonora, Texas; one daughter-in-law Missy Renner of Luther, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

The Renner family would especially like to thank the staff of Bluebonnet Home Health and Hospice and Prairie Acres Nursing Home of Friona.

Alma Clark

Alma Jane Clark, 86, of Angleton, Texas formerly of Friona, died October 27, 2014, in Angleton. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday October 31, 2014 at the Friona Cemetery with Loren Martin officiating. Arrangements by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona.

Mrs. Clark was born July 4, 1928 in Trinidad, Colorado to Oliver Bradford and Mamie Jane Garner Pinkston. She married Robert Lee Clark on April 29, 1951 in Broadview, New Mexico. She was a member of the Nazarene Church of Lake Jackson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Charles Pinkston and Jimmy Pinkston.

Survivors include two daughters, Sherry Fields and husband Robert of Lake Jackson and Etta Jameson and husband Lloyd of Conroe, Texas; one sister, Betty Evans and husband Johnnie of Portales, NM; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
