I came down with a coughing and sneezing fit over the weekend so I made an appointment at the clinic Monday morning. Since Dr. Alexander retired I haven’t been to a doctor so I just asked for the first available appointment with anyone. I was seen by James Garrett, PA-C . Very nice young man who has been in Friona since October. He diagnosed me with bronchitis and sinusitis, gave me a couple of shots and a bottle of pills. Mom would be proud. She thought you should get a shot every time you went to the doctor. We are fortunate to have James with us. The hospital will be featuring the doctor staff in a series of ads in the Star. The first one this week features Carmen Putman, FNP-C. I have said many times we are indeed fortunate to have the hospital and clinic facilities we have and for a town our size. We are blessed with an excellent medical staff too.

A crew will put out flags Monday for President’s Day. Next meeting is February 20 at Headquarters Restaurant.
