Town Talk II

As mentioned in last week’s Friona Star, the city is going after people that owe fines to the municipal court. They say more than $300,000 is outstanding. Inside you will find an ad listing nine of the “Most Wanted” and how much they owe. The police will be stepping up their arrests on warrants. If you owe you better go see Municipal Judge Deborah Campbell before the police come knocking. If you know the whereabouts of one of the folks on the list, the police would like to know.

SnackPak4Kids coordinator Becky Jones says the program is serving 74 children this year. They continue to need 16 oz peanut butter and Pop Tarts. Money donations are also accepted to help purchase food from the SnackPak program in Lubbock. The volunteers meet at the Methodist Church to pack the food items used in the backpacks. Contact Becky Jones or Jo Beth Gipson to help. Monetary donations are always useful and appreciated. (more...)
