Town Talk II

A happy, prosperous, peaceful New Year in 2015. This is the first of 51 Friona Stars that will take us through the year, recording events, births, deaths, and whatever business the year might bring. We hope you will continue to read and participate with us by sending along your news and photos to share. Thanks!

Tough as nails and a heart of gold. That would be Mary Stone who is retiring after 29 years with Friona ISD. Mary is one of the nicest people I know. It has been my privilege to know and work with Mary for many years at various school activities. She has served as chief custodian, bus driver, ticket taker, and a motivator for school staff and students. All the best to Mary and Wayne. Enjoy your retirement years.
