Town Talk II

by Ron Carr

Weather guy John Gurley says the gully-washer we had Tuesday evening amounted to 2.24” in his official rain gauge in Friona. Other reports ranged up to 3-inches. It was still sprinkling and trying to rain when I came to work Wednesday morning. Cooler fall weather is on the way. Let’s be grateful.

This was a short week with the Labor Day holiday. Then I missed all day Tuesday with appointments and tests at the Cardiology Center in Amarillo. So I worked Wednesday. Nathan and Dana took the brunt of this week’s big Miss Friona and Little Miss paper. Therefore, Town Talk is short and sweet this week. Thanks for being a Star reader. Will try to do better next week. Until then!
