Mother Nature had her own fireworks Tuesday evening before the Friona Volunteer Fire Department presented an excellent Fourth of July display at Reeve Lake. High winds, dirt and rain buffeted the area shortly before the flag ceremony was to be held at 7 p.m. The clouds, rain and lightning cleared out approximately two hours later to reveal a beautiful evening for the 2017 fireworks display.
