This night photo of the United States Capitol Building was taken by Hollis Gurley on the day that U.S. Senator John McCain from Arizona passed away. Hollis works in Washington D.C. and is the daughter of John and Kathryn Gurley.

Town Talk

In last week’s paper, there was an article on the First Annual Aaron Tate BBQ Bash. In that story was a listing of the BBQ cooking teams that participated in the event. The team of Mark Galan and Debbie Gill should have been included in that list. The Vocational Agriculture Association thanks Mark and Debbie for their participation and apologizes for the oversight. The Parmer County Commissioners Court met in regular session on Monday, August 27 at 10:00 a.m. in the County Courtroom of the Parmer County Courthouse in Farwell, Texas. DPS Issues Statement on Driver License Offices

AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) today issued the following statement regarding driver license offices to clarify misconceptions reflected in several recent news articles:
