Joe Guadalupe Duran

Joe Guadalupe Duran, 80 of Lubbock, formerly of Friona passed away August 21, 2018 in Lubbock. Celebration of Life Memorial Services were held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday August 25, 2018 at the Friona Cemetery Memorial Chapel with family officiating. Inurnment was followed in the Friona Cemetery by Hansard Family Funeral Home in Friona.

Joe was born May 26, 1938 in Friona to Matilde and Juanita Aragon Martinez. He later married Maria Morales October 19, 1968 in Levelland.

He was a long time area farmer that loved to invent things. He was an avid reader, especially Louis L’Amour books. His TV was always on the Western Channel. The pride of his life was his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Those to carry on his legacy include 6 sons-Joseph Gabriel Duran and Joe Duran of Amarillo, Ben Duran and Lupe Duran of Lubbock, Juan Duran of Friona, and Matti Duran of Carlsbad, N.M., 1 daughter-Teresa Ramos of Friona, 2 sisters-Sarah Coronado of San Angelo and Alice Garza of Friona, 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Ramon H. Ramos

Ramon H. Ramos, 82 of Friona passed away August 21, 2018 in Friona. Mass of Christian Burial Services was held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 24, 2018 at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in Friona with Father Nestor Lara as Celebrant. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by Hansard Family Funeral Home of Friona.

Ramon was born August 31, 1935 in Harlingen, Texas to Eusebio and Francisca Hernandez Ramos. He later married Lorenza Perez December 12, 1956 in Olmito, Texas.

He worked in the maintenance department of Friona Industries for 30 years. He also was an area farmer.

He loved woodworking in his shop and playing the guitar.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 son-Randy Ramos, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Those to carry on his legacy include 5 sons-Roy Ramos and wife Becky and Raymond Ramos Jr. of Friona, Ramiro Ramos and Rudy Ramos of Hereford, and Rene Ramos of Andrews, 1 daughter-Lucy Ramos of Friona, 1 brother-Antonio Ramos of California, 1 sister-Teresa Perez of Lubbock, 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Bobby Neal Fulks

Bobby Neal Fulks, 77, of Clovis, NM died Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, TX.  A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens, 1601 E. Llano Estacado, Clovis, NM, with Wayne Boydstun officiating.

Bobby was born July 14, 1941 in Clinton, OK to Neal Fulks and Agnes Birchfield Fulks.  Bobby married Bobbie Baker on May 30, 2000 in Clovis, NM.  He served in the US Navy from 1958 to 1962.  He worked as an Auto Body Technician for Bobby's Auto and Coach Clinic in Friona, TX.  Bobby was an avid Harley Davidson Motorcycle Rider.  He loved country music and anything with wheels.

Survivors include: his wife; Bobbie Loflin of Clovis, NM, two daughters; Lori Shipp of Farwell, TX, and Lisa Masters of Cotton Center, TX, two sons; Wayde Loflin of Oklahoma City, OK, and Mark Loflin of Elizabethtown, KY, two sisters; Virginia Blackwell and Donna Lee, eight grandchildren; Zack Loflin, Jacob Loflin, Cheyenne Loflin, Anthony Silva, Jesse Masters, Morgan Houk, Kelly Shipp, and Kyle Shipp, and great-grandson; Benjamin Masters.  He was preceded in death by his parents; Neal and Agnes Fulks, and two sisters; Nancy Fulks and Tootie Robbins.

Family request memorial contributions be made to the Baptist Children's Home, 1032 Childrens Dr., Portales, NM  88130.
