Town Talk II

Had about two-hundreths of rain Sunday night into Monday morning. A cold spell blew in Tuesday making it ‘heater’ weather this week. Guess I’ll be wearing a coat at Friday night’s ball game as the Chiefs host the Childress Bobcats. Fall weather is here for sure. (more...)

Commissioners court meeting

The Dalhart Golden Wolves, a strong 3A team, came to Friona Friday night and put on a strong offensive show to beat the Chieftains 42-14. The Chiefs scored two touchdowns late in the fourth quarter, both on runs by Eddie Garcia. He led Chieftain rushing with 138 yards on 21 carries. (more...)

Chiefs lose district opener to Muleshoe

The Chieftains had a long night in Muleshoe last Friday. The Chiefs kicked off to the Mules. On the first offensive play Muleshoe scored on a 60+ yard run and the night did not get any better from there. Final score was 60-7. (more...)
