Squaw volleyball: playoffs ahead

On Tuesday October 15 the Squaws played host to the Olton Fillies. It was a good night for the Squaws as all three teams won their matches. They held off the Fillies with some good defense and serving.

On Saturday October 19 the teams traveled to Littlefield to take on the Lady Cats.

In the first match the “C” team used good serving to run past the Lady Cats for a 2-0 win.

The JV also defeated the Lady Cats 2-0. The girls probably played their most complete match of the season. They had several good rallies.

The varsity Squaws were trying to avenge a 3-1 loss to the Lady Cats earlier in the season. Although it was not their best match the girls were able to pull out a 3-2 victory. The Squaws are 20-15 on the season and 4-2 in district.

The last home game is Saturday October 26 vs. Dimmitt. Game time has been moved back an hour to accommodate ACT tests. The times are “C” team at 12:00, JV at 1:00, and varsity at 2:00 p.m. The senior players and managers will be honored before the varsity match.
