Eldon Ray Reeb

Eldon Ray Reeb, 73, of Friona, died November 8, 2017 in Friona. Mass of Christian Burial services were held Saturday, November 11, 2017 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Hereford with Father Jim Schmitmyer of Amarillo, and Father Anthony Neusch, pastor, as Celebrants. Burial followed in the Rest Lawn Memorial Park in Hereford by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona.

Eldon was born July 28, 1944 in Blum, Texas to Glendel “Pete” and Bertha Fay Crow Rape. He worked in the animal health industry for 50 years. Eldon loved his county, community and helping others. He spent 25 years helping cook for the Friona Senior class, and helping cook for the Parmer County Livestock Show. He also was an action photography artist that loved playing golf, hunting and fishing and watching football. But, spending time with his children and grandchildren was his joy.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Kenneth Rape.

Survivors include two daughters, Amy Yosten of Hereford, and Keri Backus and husband Russell of Lubbock; one son, Wade Reeb and wife Sheridan of Amarillo; and 11 grandchildren.

Ernesteen Marshall

Ernesteen Marshall, 89, longtime Bovina resident, died November 9, 2017 in Bovina. Celebration of Life services were held Monday, November 13, 2017 at the Bovina Church of Christ in Bovina with Mike Prather, pastor, and Jeff Procter of the 6th St. Church of Christ in Friona, officiating. Burial followed in the Bovina Cemetery by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona.

Ernesteen was born September 9, 1928 in Lamesa to Elvie Leslie and Margie Louise Kinder Emfinger. She married B.L. Marshall January 18, 1945 and has living life together in the Bovina Community since 1952. She is a member of the Bovina Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Leslie Emfinger; and one sister, Modean Boardman.

Survivors include her husband, B.L. Marshall of Bovina; one son, Billy Lynn Marshall and wife Linda of Bovina; two daughters, Meloney Kay Early of Katy, TX and Zelda Joyce Watts of Spring, TX; one sister, Elvene Holland and husband Haskell of Big Springs, TX; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Isabel Rios

Isabel Rios, 61, of Friona, died Tuesday, November 14, 2017 in Friona. Rosary services will be held 7:00 P.M. Friday, November 17, 2017 at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in Friona with Mass of Christian Burial services scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 18, 2017 at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church with Father Henry Wilson Echavarria Rodriguez as Celebrant. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona.

Isabel was born July 1, 1956 in Raymondville, Texas to Ambrosio and Leonor Silva Rios. She loved taking care of her family, bingo, coloring, and crossword puzzles.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Adermina Tamez and Olivia Sosa.

Survivors include six sons, Raymond Diaz, Ronald Diaz, Robert Rios and Rosendo Tena of Friona, Ruben Diaz and Raul Rios of Lubbock; one daughter, Rosa Cigarroa of Friona; seven brothers, Pablo Rios of El Campo, Guadalupe Rios and Antonio Rios of Raymondville, Ambrosio Rios Jr. Juan Jorge Rios and Rudolfo Rios of Friona and Jose Luis Rios of Canyon; three sisters, Marcella Rodriguez of Lasara, Ofelia Diaz of Levelland and Juanita Jimenez of Lubbock; and three grandchildren.
